Summary
The Financial Operations Manager for the SOM Biomedical Sciences Program is responsible for financial reporting, management of student payroll including hiring and labor distribution management, processes reimbursements and performs supply ordering. They will work with all students to address issues and ensure a quality educational environment for learning. The Financial Operations Manager will closely collaborate with the BMS Directors and staff for cross coverage for all duties as needed in this highly team-based program office.

Required Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
- Experience developing and managing budgets
- Experience with manipulation of data and data management.
- Experience with hiring processes and procedures
- Knowledge of website management (content and construction)
- Knowledge of various computer programs and strong excel skills.
- Strong organizational skills and excellent attention to detail.
- Highly developed written and oral communication skills, presentation skills.
- An appreciation for the cyclical nature of admission work and the flexibility to handle a variety of duties and projects throughout the day as well as throughout the year.
- Must be willing and available to work nights and weekends during recruitment and application review season. Will have occasional travel.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse constituencies, including students, faculty, academic deans and senior administrators, as well as internal and external partners.
- Ability to use independent judgment and to manage and impart confidential information.
- Can direct and oversee the application process for a diverse, multicultural applicant pool.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently in the completion of assigned tasks.
- Bachelor’s Degree and 6 years of related work experience.
- Master’s Degree and 3 years of related work experiences.
- Experience in a school of medicine or other professional school.
