At the direction of the Executive Director, the Senior Department Administrator I – Human Resources for the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at the School of Medicine is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day human resource functions and operations. This includes but is not limited to staff human resources management, the interaction between faculty and staff in each section, managing faculty affairs administrative processes, and assisting the Executive Director in implementing departmental plans and policies. Serves as liaison for the Department with other departments within Tulane, and outside agencies.

- Manage and maintain sensitive and confidential information, ensuring it is handled securely and in compliance with Tulane’s policies and procedures.
- Uphold strict confidentiality in dealing with sensitive information, including personnel matters, legal documents, financial data, contracts, and other proprietary information.

- Demonstrated knowledge of public relations.
- Ability to supervise others successfully, to include delegating and checking work, completing annual performance reviews; coaching, counseling, and mentoring.
- Ability to interact and communicate with individuals at all levels internal and external to the organization in a clear, positive, and cooperative manner.
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office applications to include Word and Excel.
