Job descriptionAs a Representative - Outside Sales, you will be responsible for developing new prospects and interacting with assigned customers to build relationships and close commercial painting contracts. Your primary focus will be closing plan bid commercial projects with multiple General contractors building proposal packets that ensure a smooth sales process. There will be a certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. You will be expected to engage with all levels of the customers’ organizations, including sales, operation, and finance. You are required to develop and deliver sales bids, presentations, proposals and/or service demonstrations (lunch and learn) .

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a assigned close rate on plan bid painting and finish projects.
  • Follow up and run sales process with all commercial projects delivered to you.
  • Educate customers on the value of using Tcb Painting for the finish needs. Value engineer within tolerances to close and win estimates.
  • Track bids sent out (gain bid tabs and asses why we won or lost bid)
  • Executes and expands assigned customer account plan(s) which is developed in conjunction with management.
  • Site visit commercial sites when necessary to assess the state of the project before submitting bid.
  • Prospects potential customers, including cold calling and developing leads through referral channels.
  • Ensures customer satisfaction through ongoing communication and relationship management; resolves any issues that may arise post-sale.
  • Maintains communication with existing and previous customers.
  • Utilizes sales management tools for sales planning and documenting opportunities.
  • Develops strong relationships with suppliers
  • Provides quotations directly or in conjunction with estimation support team.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to read plans required
  • High School Degree or Equivalent required; Bachelor’s Degree is preferred
  • Prior sales experience required, outside sales preferred
  • Two years of industry experience
  • Ability to travel to current and potential clients
  • Excellent sales and negotiation skills
  • Ability to develop and deliver presentations
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Effective communicator both written and verbally
  • Ability to work in team environment
  • Understanding of current technology and ability to pick up workflow software quickly

Working Environment: Outside Sales - Work is generally performed in an office environment, but employee may need to travel to customer sites or warehouse facilities. Driving may be required for an extended period of time with frequent stops and starts. Can be exposed to outdoor weather conditions.

Compensation is $75,000-$120,000 per year this includes expected commissions and bonuses. There is no cap on commissions.
