- Job Summary
Responsible for overseeing and managing variety of non-credit educational programs and services designed to meet the learning needs of the community. The position involves planning and implementing programs that enhance personal and professional development for all ages. Works closely with the Director of Continuing Education Operations, department staff, instructors, students, and community partners to ensure that all programs are delivered effectively.
- Essential Duties
Develop and maintain program schedules, ensuring courses are offered at times and locations that accommodate the needs of learners.
Coordinate the creation and updating of course materials, curriculum, and learning objectives in collaboration with the Continuing Education Operations instructors.
Recruit instructors and cultivate strong working relationships with them.
Utilize Elevate, Banner and LERN tools along with other platforms to set up and market program offerings, set pricing, and assess current programs (including enrollment trends and cancellation rates). Provide recommendations for course enhancements and overall program quality.
Ensure individual program operating margin projections are maintained when developing courses and oversee the use of various software tools utilized by Continuing Education Operations.
Provide guidance and support to students enrolled in class offerings and programs, addressing questions, concerns and feedback. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to address technical needs and support the development of on-line and hybrid course offerings.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to expand program offerings and create learning opportunities; conduct regular surveys to evaluate the effectiveness of programs and identify areas of improvement.
Create and implement e-marketing promotions and communications, monitor social media campaigns, and coordinate the maintenance of content and appearance for the Continuing Education Operations and Elevate websites.- Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Education, Sociology, Business or a related field.
3 years professional work experience in program management, adult education or a related field.
Excellent customer service skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic and fast paced environment.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS) and on-line course delivery platforms.
Problem-solving skills and a customer-oriented mindset.
Experience with Microsoft Office 365.- Preferred Qualifications
Experience with marketing strategies.
Program Planner certification.
