The mission of Tulsa Global District (TGD) is to invest in the Global District (21st and Garnett area of East Tulsa) by creating economic opportunities, fostering community building, and celebrating multicultural diversity. The Executive Director leads and manages the organization’s administration, programs, and strategic planning. Responsibilities include events, marketing, collaborations with stakeholders, fundraising, and outreach to the community. This position reports to the Board of Directors.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate with the Board of Directors to lead the development and implementation of strategic plans and programming to address the mission and vision of the organization.
- Manage all administrative aspects of TGD operations including purchasing, record keeping, budget development, and accounting. Prepare and submit reports required by the City of Tulsa, Oklahoma Main Street program, National Main Street Center, and any other required reporting.
- Hire and manage staff, interns, and professional consultants, and develop employment and administrative policies and procedures.
- Plan and operate an annual budget.
- Ensure effective systems to track progress, and regularly evaluate program components to measure successes that can be effectively communicated to the board, funders, and other constituents.
- Ensure success in fundraising and developing additional revenues through grant applications, corporate sponsorships, individual giving campaigns, and other avenues.
- Lead community engagement efforts that gather input and feedback from stakeholders on the vision and goals for the Tulsa Global District.
- Serve as the key representative to stakeholders including residents, business owners, nonprofits, government officials, media outlets, and the public at large.
- Oversee communications and marketing, including website, newsletter, and social media efforts.
- Provide staff support to monthly board meetings, including developing agendas, financial reports, and other materials as needed, in coordination with the Executive Committee.
- Support Board as needed through orientation, recruitment of new members, and providing necessary information to make informed decisions about the future of the organization
- Attend professional development opportunities, including training and conferences as required by funders.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
All candidates should have proven leadership and relationship management experience. Concrete demonstrable experience and other qualifications include:
Work experience, Skills, and Education
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in business administration, non-profit management, urban planning, community development, or related field.
- 3 years management experience. Non-profit management experience preferred.
- Ability to effectively communicate and convey the organization mission to community leaders, donors, volunteers, and the community at large.
- Experience with program planning, strategic planning, and program implementation.
- Experience with community engagement and demonstrated commitment to cultural diversity, immigrant communities, and/or East Tulsa.
- Financial management experience, including preparing and monitoring budgets.
- Fundraising experience, including grant writing experience and experience working with the philanthropic community for resource generation.
- Action-oriented, entrepreneurial, adaptable, and innovative approach to position.

Physical ability
- Work is performed primarily in an office setting. Some outdoor work is required.
