Production Assistant – Tumalo Lavender
Position: Full-Time 30-40 hours, Seasonal (April – November 2025)
Start Date: Spring 2025
Starting Wage: $18.00/hour (Depending on experience, with potential raises based on proficiency)

Tumalo Lavender is seeking a highly organized and motivated Production Assistant to support our farm and retail operations. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, enjoys hands-on work, and is eager to contribute to both production and customer-facing aspects of the farm. The Production Assistant will be responsible for a mix of retail, administrative, and farm-related duties to ensure smooth daily operations.

Responsibilities: Farmers Market & Retail Store Management:

• Oversee the Farmers Market on Wednesdays, including scheduling, staffing, setup, and product availability.
• Manage the Saturday store schedule, ensuring the store is well-stocked and organized.
• Maintain accurate inventory of retail products and replenish stock as needed.

Order Fulfillment & Product Creation:

• Pack, label, and ship customer orders with accuracy and efficiency.
• Assist in crafting and assembling high-quality lavender-based products.

Customer Service & Sales:

• Provide exceptional customer service in-store, assisting with inquiries and transactions.
• Engage with customers at events and farmers markets, promoting our products and farm experience.

Administrative Support:

• Assist the manager with inventory tracking, scheduling, and maintaining records.
• Ensure timely and accurate reporting of sales and stock levels.

Farm Duties:

• Assist with watering, weeding, and general farm upkeep to maintain plant health and farm aesthetics.
• Participate in transplanting, propagating, and harvesting lavender during peak season.
• Support additional farm maintenance tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
• Physical stamina to stand for 7-8 hours per day and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Experience in farming, gardening, or retail is a plus but not required.
• Reliable transportation to and from the farm.
