Tunista Logistics Solutions LLC Regular PRIMARY FUNCTION We are seeking a detail-oriented leader to join our team as the Special Projects Manager. This role serves as one of the primary points of contact for leading unique project initiatives to improve our logistics operation. This role will oversee all projects to develop near term and future logistics solutions within a very complex Enterprise Logistics environment. Duties will include developing ideas, conducting the appropriate research, and ensuring tasks are completed on time. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Facilitate regular team meetings with executive leadership and executive level customers to ensure projects milestones are completed on time. Aid in developing solutions for automation, processes, and various systems. Explore and research potential investment opportunities for improved logistics. Collaborate with leadership to develop budgets and execute timelines for projects assigned. Must fully engage with leadership and customer to ensure a smooth transition between tasks. Manage the entire lifecycle of the project from start to finish. Obtain key stakeholder feedback to ensure alignment with needs and expectations. Consistently evaluate the progress of the projects and make any approved necessary revisions. Must motivate the team to ensure all tasks are being performed as required. Manage, coordinate, and implement logistics initiatives to improve effectiveness, quality, and cost. Assist with developing plan for cost, schedule, and necessary resources. Lead efforts to stand-up a prototype logistics environment to include operational flow, personnel, and robust systems and tracking mechanisms Provide clear guidance, direction, and support to customer support teams to optimize performance and achieve organizational objectives. Ability to build effective relationships and communicate appropriately with internal and external customers. Generate reports, briefings, and presentations to communicate project status and performance. Identify and mitigate risks associated with project related actions, ensuring operational resilience and continuity. Any other duties assigned. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: No KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES: Proven adaptability to handle situations and adjust strategies as needed. Ability to clearly define roadmaps for successful project completion. Ability to negotiate terms with vendors, customers, and stakeholders. Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to support program objectives and initiatives. QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in Logistics or equivalent combined experience. Minimum of 25 years of experience in a logistics environment with at least 5-10 years in a leadership role. Experience in managing multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously. Team player and problem-solving aptitude. Must have a logistics warehousing background. Strong knowledge of logistics principles, inventory management techniques, disposition, and customer support processes. Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks, prioritize responsibilities, and meet deadlines. Excellent customer-facing and internal communication skills. Superb interpersonal and leadership skills. Ability to coordinate and execute various projects simultaneously. Experienced in briefing multi-level leadership. Must have great time management skills. Strong organizational skills, excellent attention to detail, and problem-solving capabilities. Excellent interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to work in a cross-functional team environment. Experience working in a government contracting environment.
