Under the supervision of the HR Specialist, the incumbent will perform administrative tasks and services to support effective and efficient operations of the organization's human resource department.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Assists with the day-to-day operations of HR functions and duties.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation.
- Maintains filing system and ensure new hire/benefits forms are available.
- Maintain the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records.
- Answers frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.; refers more complex questions to HR Specialist or appropriate staff.
- Acts as an additional liaison between the organization and external benefits providers and vendors, which may include health, disability, and retirement plan providers.
- Assist with annual reports.
- Assist with screening resumes, emailing candidates, completing employment verifications or paystub requests.
- May assist with payroll functions such as: processing, entering new hires, entering pay controls, answering employee pay -related questions, and distributing checks.
- Assist with maintaining Tura Departmental Phone Directory.
- Conducts/assists with new hire orientation.
- Provides Administrative support to the Human Resource Specialist.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or higher.
- HR or office experience preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- The position is located in an office environment. Work is primarily sedentary; however, there is some walking, bending, and stooping. Some occasional lifting of 15 pounds or less will be required.
Hours of Work: The hours of work are Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
