Description
The Senior Account Manager is responsible for growing and retaining customers within a designated territory while expanding business opportunities with assigned accounts. This role requires extensive industry knowledge and a solutions-focused sales approach. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in directional drilling and/or downhole tool rentals, working closely with customers to provide technical solutions for mud motors, friction reduction tools, and stick-slip mitigation tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to drive business growth in downhole tool rental services.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with directional drillers, drilling engineers, and procurement teams.
- Conduct sales meetings, presentations, and technical demonstrations tailored to customer needs.
- Negotiate pricing, service agreements, and rental contracts with new and existing customers.
- Provide ongoing technical consultation to customers, ensuring optimal tool selection and performance.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity to identify sales opportunities.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure tool availability, logistics, and customer satisfaction.
- Participate in industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to generate leads.

Qualifications
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Experience: Minimum 5 years in directional drilling operations or sales of downhole tools.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred, but substantial industry experience in drilling services, sales, tool rentals, or client base will be considered.
- Skills:
- Strong understanding of downhole tools, particularly mud motors, friction reduction tools, and stick-slip mitigation tools.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with internal sales, engineering, and operations teams.
- Excellent negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 products.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
- Occasional travel required for meetings, events, and conferences.
- Prolonged periods sitting, standing, and working on a computer.
