Turbopower, LLC (“ Turbopower ” or the “ Company ”) is a rapidly growing provider of maintenance, repair and overhaul services for gas turbine engines and component parts to military and commercial customers worldwide. The Company primarily services Pratt & Whitney PT6 and Rolls-Royce T56 engines and holds numerous quality and customer certifications, including FAA Part 145 repair station and Rolls-Royce Authorized Maintenance Center certification. Turbopower operates out of a state-of-the-art 100,000 square foot facility with on-site engine test cells. Turbopower is an affiliate of Battle Investment Group, LLC and is based in Miami, FL.
Turbopower is currently seeking a highly motivated individual to assume the role of Lean Specialist. The ideal candidate must be self-motivated, driven, and professional, with proven ability to implement and promote lean principles and methodologies within an organization to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve overall operational performance. This role is crucial in fostering a culture of continuous improvement, ensuring that the organization meets the high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency required in the aerospace industry.
Responsibilities :
- Process Analysis : Evaluate current processes and workflows to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement.
- Lean Implementation : Develop and implement lean methodologies, such as 5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, and Just-In-Time (JIT), to enhance operational efficiency.
- Training and Coaching : Conduct training sessions and workshops for employees at all levels to promote lean principles and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Project Management : Lead and manage lean improvement projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and aligned with organizational goals.
- Data Analysis : Collect and analyze data related to process performance, quality, and productivity to inform decision-making and improvement strategies.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration : Work closely with various departments (e.g., engineering, production, quality assurance) to ensure alignment and support for lean initiatives.
- Performance Metrics : Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of lean initiatives and track progress over time.
- Waste Reduction : Identify and eliminate non-value-added activities and waste in processes, including excess inventory, waiting times, and unnecessary motion.
- Standardization : Develop and implement standardized work procedures to ensure consistency and quality in MRO operations.
- Continuous Improvement Culture : Foster a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging employee involvement and feedback in lean initiatives.
- Supplier Collaboration : Work with suppliers to implement lean practices in the supply chain, ensuring timely delivery of materials and components.
- Change Management : Support change management efforts by communicating the benefits of lean initiatives.
- Reporting : Prepare reports and presentations for management on the progress of lean initiatives, highlighting successes, challenges, and future opportunities.
- Compliance and Safety : Ensure that all lean initiatives comply with industry regulations and safety standards, maintaining a safe working environment.
- Benchmarking : Research and benchmark best practices within the aerospace industry to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation.
