FUNCTION
The Cash Operations Shift Manager is responsible for assisting the Manager of Cash Operations in the successful operation of the cage.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Monitor, direct, supervise and observe cage action in the overall casino operations for adherence to company policies and various regulatory requirements to safeguard the casino’s assets and fund.
- Knowledgeable of Marketing Promotions and Gaming events.
- Responsible for guest service, relations, and arbitrate disputes to assure that our guests have a favorable gaming experience.
- Assign or make changes in assignments of Team Members on assigned shifts.
- Submit at the end of respective shifts, all reports deemed necessary for the efficient operation of the department.
- Ensure the safety and security of Team Members and guests. Facilitate processes and programs to effectively control and reduce lost time injuries.
- Review staffing levels to maintain budgeted level of employment. Delegate authority and assign responsibilities.
- Development of Team Members, interviews, hiring and evaluations.
- Assist Cage Manager in preparation of reports and other administrative responsibilities as assigned.
- Review cage activities and promotions with the Manager of Cash Operations.
- Assure that required facilities and equipment are available, clean, and functioning properly.
- Establish and maintain effective channels of communication upward, downward, and laterally.
- Maintain an updated knowledge of Gaming Laws/Regulations and internal controls applicable to areas of responsibility.
- May act as Managerial Representative on Premises.
- Meet with Departmental Directors and Managers as necessary.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Management abilities demonstrated in managing the Cage profitability.
- Maintaining a professional working relationship among all personnel.
- Oral and written communication skills.
- Willingness to assume overall responsibility relative to the performance of the Cage.
EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE
- Two to Five years experience in cage operations and supervision with a 2-year degree in related field or equivalent work experience preferred.
- Able to obtain KY Racing License.
AUTHORIZED ACCESS AREAS
- Access to gaming floor, cage and vault areas.
AUTHORIZED KEY ACCESS
- Access to cage and vault keys.
