What are the responsibilities and job description for the Full Time Gaming Technician position at Turfway Park?
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Schedule: 10:30PM – 7:00PM Wednesday & Thursday, 8:00AM – 4:30PM Friday & Saturday
• Repair and maintain gaming related equipment on the gaming floor and in the gaming shop.
• Identify machine malfunctions and determine appropriate actions.
• Correct machine malfunctions (e.g., printer errors, bill validators, etc.)
• Participate in installation, movement, and removal of gaming related equipment.
• Ensure our gaming guests are kept in play by experiencing a range of fast and friendly service through well maintained machines and the promotion of guest programs and events such as our New Member Offer, Players Club benefits, drawings, and giveaways, etc.
• Sincerely greet and welcome all guests on the gaming floor.
• Actively patrol assigned sections looking for opportunities to be of service to our guests.
• Offer assistance to guests that are playing and explain features of the machine when necessary, including the ticket in/ticket out technology.
• When walking through the aisleways, gaming technicians will make sure all vacant, nonfixed gaming chairs are appropriately pushed in to maintain clear aisleways.
• Celebrate wins by our guests.
• Complete written department forms in a legible manner.
• Maintain secure key controls at all times.
• Maintain a good relationship with the cage and security employees to help execute gaming transactions.
• Promote honesty and trust amongst the team.
• Responsible for maintaining a consistent, regular attendance record.
• Comply with all Company standard operating procedures and internal controls.
Education, Training, and Experience:
• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• Electronics certificate or equivalent experience in electrical maintenance preferred.
• Available to work when needed, including weekends, holidays, and nights.
• Demonstrated successful performance in a guest service role in a public environment.
• Able to obtain and maintain a valid Kentucky gaming/racing license.
• Maintain a professional working relationship among all personnel.
• Knowledge of state gaming laws and regulations.
• Oral and written communication skills.
