JOB TITLE: QUALITY CONTROL INSPECTOR
TK Harness and Wire specializes in low-volume electrical harness and cable manufacturing. We are currently expanding and seeking to add a wire and harness quality control inspector to our team.
A wiring harness quality control inspector is responsible for visually inspecting, testing and documenting the quality of sub-assembled components and assembled wire harnesses to ensure they meet specified standards, often using specialized testing equipment and following detailed work instructions.
Key responsibilities may include but not limited to:
- Visual Inspection:
Performing thorough visual inspections of wire harnesses for defects like damaged wires, incorrect connector orientation, improper crimping, incorrect wire color and any signs of contamination
- Electrical Testing:
Utilizing testing equipment to check for continuity, resistance and voltage drop within the harness, ensuring proper electrical connections
- Dimensional Checks:
Measuring critical dimensions of the harness, such as wire length, connector spacing and overall assembly size, using calipers or other measuring tools
- Documentation:
Maintaining detailed inspection records, including documenting any non-conforming items, corrective actions taken and batch information
- Process Monitoring:
Identifying potential quality issues during production and communicating them to the production team to implement corrective actions
Must be able to stand for long periods of time and be able to perform repetitive movements
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
