Fully Remote Billing Assistant
We’re currently seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Billing Assistant with 6 months – 1.5 years of billing experience to handle billing with a prominent law firm in DC. The position is remote, on a 37.5-hour work week, and is eligible for overtime pay.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare, process, and review client billing statements in accordance with client contracts and guidelines.
- Ensure accurate and timely submission of invoices to clients.
- Work with attorneys and staff to gather necessary information for billing.
- Maintain and manage billing schedules and deadlines.
- Handle billing inquiries from clients and internal teams.
- Manage accounts receivable, including tracking payments and following up on overdue invoices.
- Assist with reporting and reconciliation of billing data.
- Support continuous improvement of billing processes and procedures.
Requirements:
- 0.5 - 1.5 years of experience in any billing position.
- Bachelors degree is a plus
- Familiarity with legal billing software (e.g., Elite, Aderant, or similar platforms) is a huge plus.
Salary : $65,000 - $70,000
