Senior Credit and Collections Specialist
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Credit and Collections Specialist to join our Finance team. The ideal candidate will manage all aspects of credit and collections, ensuring timely payment and maintaining positive customer relations. Strong analytical skills, excellent Excel proficiency, and experience in the Construction industry are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish credit limits for customers and develop credit policies to optimize cash flow.
- Manage the collections process, execute the dunning process, and resolve billing issues.
- Review AIA billing, lien waivers, and reconcile financial system AR records.
- Own relationships with financing companies and support financing operations.
- Generate reports on credit and collections metrics, analyze trends, and provide recommendations.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders and foster a positive team environment.
Qualifications:
- 5-8 years of Credit Management and Collections experience, primarily in the Construction industry.
- Experience with progress billing and lien rights in multiple states (MD, VA, DC, DE, WV).
- Strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Proficient in Excel and ERP systems (Great Plains is a plus).
- NACM certification is a plus.
