Clinician at our Young Adult Programming in New Haven, CT
Responsibilities
· Counsel clients, individually or in group sessions, to assist in overcoming dependencies, adjusting to life, and embracing positive change. Document all services provided.
· Weekly case consultation with behavioral staff.
· Crisis management and intervention.
· Treatment plan development based on client goals and clinical experience and knowledge.
· Prepare and maintain all required treatment records and reports.
· Highly collaborative environment. Work with other staff members to perform peer to peer supervision, perform clinical assessments, or develop treatment plans.
· Liaise with utilization review and billing staff on required clinical information and documentation
· Maintain all required licensure and stay up to date on new treatment developments
· Any other duties as required
Qualifications
· Knowledge of substance use recovery, mental health and other co-occurring disorders;
· Experience in working with chemical dependency in a residential and outpatient milieu;
· Experience in crisis intervention and conflict resolution skills;
· Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain a positive collaborative relationship among staff;
· Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
· Licensure with the Connecticut Department of Public Health
