Turner Industries Group, LLC has an opening for a Data Clerk to join our team in Hopewell, VA. This individual deals with a diverse group of important external and internal individuals at all levels of the organization. Independent judgment is required to plan, prioritize and organize diversified workload.
Essential Qualifications:
- Minimum one (1) year of experience or equivalent combinations of experience and training
- Knowledge of business machines, computers and/or menu driven applications
- May be required to have knowledge of computer software such as Google Workspace
- Must possess excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and problem solving skills
- Post offer drug / alcohol screen, physical evaluation, and signed acceptance of the Turner Industries Drug, Alcohol and Contraband Policy
- Comply with company and client job site safety requirements
- Must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of others in the workplace
Functional Requirements:
Performs basic clerical functions including filing, copying, binding reports, typing, and checking documentation, invoices, correspondence, etc.; handles, sorts, distributes, delivers, and picks up mail; proofreads records or forms; operates business machines such as calculators, typewriters, computers, facsimile machines, copiers, etc.; receives and coordinates storage of packages, office supply deliveries, etc.; may answer, screen, and direct telephone calls; may compile and prepare various reports; may coordinate and process general administrative work, for example, time sheets, vacation requests, supply requisitions, etc.; perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction
Compensation
Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience.

Physical Involvement:
This job operates in an office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary. Employee may be required to do the following: reaching in all directions, handling and manipulating objects and materials; standing; sitting; walking; seeing with or without correction; hearing with or without correction; following set procedures and standards; applying basic mathematical skills; ability to recognize and report safety hazards.
