Turner Industries is seeking an experienced Warehouse Supervisor for a facility in the Pasadena, TX area. A primary function of this warehouse is to operate packing equipment to fill Super Sacks with powdered product, move pallets into storage, or move pallets onto trucks per shipping orders. This is a long-term, nested maintenance position with a DuPont shift schedule.
- NO PER DIEM OR RELOCATION available. This is ideal for local candidates.
- 2-5 years experience in an industrial warehouse
- 2-5 years supervisory experience
- Forklift Experience - Valid Driver's License REQUIRED
- Direct employees to insure stock is organized and stock levels are maintained
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and post-offer criminal background check.
Functional Requirements:
Read and sign off on JSA prior to starting shift; supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in lifting, transporting, storing, and loading materials and products by use of conveyors, cranes, hoists, or industrial trucks, applying knowledge of plant layout and material-handling equipment and procedures; studies receiving or shipping notices, requests for movement of raw materials and finished products, and reports of warehousing space available to develop schedule for material handling activities; may confer with supervisors of other departments to coordinate flow of materials or products; may verify or prepare records, such as routing slips, material requisitions, and job orders; maintains a clean and safe work environment at all times.
Qualification Standards:
- Preferably one (1) to four (4) years of experience in specified skill
- Basic computer skills preferred
- Pre-employment qualification test if applicable
- Post-offer drug/alcohol screen and physical evaluation
- Hazard Communication orientation/test
- Turner Industries Group Indoctrination
- OSHA approved corrective eye wear (Z87)
- Job site orientation
- Job site "Personal Protective Equipment" requirements (hearing protection, safety glasses, long sleeve shirt, gloves, steel toe boots, etc.)
- Applicant/employee must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of such individual or others in the work place
Physical Involvement:
Employee may be required to do the following: climbing ladders, scaffolds, structures, etc. above and below ground level; maintaining balance on ladders, scaffolds, structures, etc.; reaching in all directions, handling and manipulating objects and materials; coordinating the movements of eyes, hands and fingers to operate tools and equipment; lifting 30 to 50 pounds from ground level, waist level, and/or overhead; carrying objects, tools equipment, etc.; standing; sitting; walking; pushing; pulling; bending; kneeling; crouching/squatting; crawling; seeing with or without correction; hearing with or without correction.
