Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Commercial Project Manager to oversee and manage our construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a comprehensive understanding of construction processes, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and in alignment with client expectations. This role requires proficiency in project coordination, estimating, and contract management, along with the ability to read blueprints and schematics effectively.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage multiple commercial construction projects simultaneously, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and clients to facilitate effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
- Utilize HeavyBid for accurate construction estimating and budgeting.
- Oversee project schedules, ensuring all phases of construction are executed as planned.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, address issues, and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Prepare and review contracts, ensuring all terms are met by all parties involved.
- Utilize ProCore for project management documentation and Bluebeam for reviewing plans and drawings.
- Provide leadership to project teams, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages problem-solving and innovation.
Experience
- Proven experience in commercial project management within the construction industry.
- Strong understanding of construction management principles including contract negotiation, project coordination, and estimating.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints and schematics to ensure accurate execution of plans.
- Familiarity with industry-standard software such as HeavyBid, ProCore, Bluebeam, and other relevant tools.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Strong communication skills to liaise with various stakeholders including clients, subcontractors, and team members.
