Turning Point for God is the broadcast ministry of Dr. David Jeremiah and exists to deliver the unchanging Word of God to an ever-changing world. Using Dr. Jeremiah’s teaching, we capture, curate, and communicate Bible Strong content through the power of media to share the Gospel with theological and creative excellence. Dr. Jeremiah is committed to teaching the entirety of God’s Word to the world, and his teaching is delivered in multiple languages to approximately 3 billion people across the globe through Turning Point’s various media channels.

Position Summary:
Turning Point Ministries Short-Form Producer/Editor is a contributing member of the Short-Form Team within Turning Point Production.
As a Short-Form Producer/Editor for Turning Point’s Production team, he/she shall work in conjunction with the Executive Producer and Segment Producers to create dynamic, original content for traditional and digital broadcasting.
Duties include directing, creating, shooting, editing, and positioning short-form video segments for Turning Point Television, Turning Point Digital / Social Media, ministry events, and Turning Point Studios features.
Essential Functions:
- Media Creation
- Create show opens, product spots, motion graphics, station promos, teasers/trailers, short interviews and teaching content segments for broadcast and events
- Design the potential look/sound/feel of these projects
- Produce media content (graphic design, film, edit, etc.) with a team, or by oneself, depending on project size
- Move projects through established workflows and review process to ensure quality control and consistent branding
- Encode and deliver final versions
- Ensure all media content is properly archived and preserved for future use
- Video Shoots
- Organize video shoots by preparing shot lists and gather necessary technical equipment, location props, décor, etc. in coordination with Production Manager and Producer(s)
- Lead and/or assist in production equipment setup/tear down on location and in-studio
- Serve as Production Manager/Director of Photography/Camera Operator/1st AC/Gaffer/Grip for small, self-contained Short-Form shoots
- Participate/assist on other film/broadcast projects as needed
- Graphic Design
- Create comprehensive motion graphics by original design or effective template manipulation using:
- Original and stock imagery (stills, video)
- Dynamic transitions
- Fonts and custom lettering
- Effective layout
- Clear concise messaging
- Create custom graphics packages for television based on series theme
- Create custom graphical menus for physical media and or digital platform navigation
- Create comprehensive motion graphics by original design or effective template manipulation using:
- Media Segment Modification
- Perform/assist with versioning and adaptation of short video segments including, but not limited to: opens, series theme graphics, spots and promos, bumpers, teasers/trailers, etc. for broadcast and events.
- Producing and Directing
- Brainstorm ideas discussed from an initial direct with the Executive Producer
- Present concepts to the Executive Producer and make any needed adjustments based on redirect (if any)
- Work with crew and talent to produce compelling original content for show opens, product spots and other creative cinematic features
- Scout locations for shoots to best fit function of original production brief
- Help determine best talent for each particular project
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of related experience preferred
- MUST have a personal desire and drive to produce exceptional video content on a deadline
- MUST be an independent self-starter that embraces effective teamwork
- MUST be an organized, detail-oriented, and highly-productive person
- Able to receive constructive criticism and direction from producers, directors and project leads
- Has a foundational knowledge of the production process and technical equipment
- Proficiency with video editing software (Resolve, Adobe CC, Avid, etc.)
- Proficiency with graphic design software (Adobe CC, Cinema 4D, Fusion, etc.)
- Desire to learn new software and new ways of working
- Proficiency in word processing and spreadsheet software applications
- Must be willing and able to lift/push/pull equipment weighing 50 lbs.

- Position is full‐time, non-exempt, located at Turning Point International Headquarters in Lakeside, CA
