Note that this is not a traditional CPSW position.
This is a CPSW that will be running one of our Sober Living facilities.
This can be a live-in position for one individual only.
This position requires an active CPSW certification. This type of certification is not interchangeable with other certifications.
POSITION SUMMARY: Turning Point Recovery Center (TPRC) is seeking an experienced and committed Certified Peer Support Worker (CPSW) to lead and manage our sober living house. This role goes beyond traditional peer support, as the ideal candidate will be responsible for creating and maintaining a structured, supportive environment for clients as they transition from detox into intensive outpatient programming, sober living, and aftercare. The CPSW will be a key leader in ensuring the continuity of care and upholding the standards and rules of the sober living house, with a flexible schedule that includes being on call 24/7 to address urgent matters. This position requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to cater to the individual needs of clients while guiding them through their recovery journey.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Lead and manage the sober living house, ensuring a safe, structured, and supportive environment for all residents.
- Act as the primary liaison between Turning Point Recovery Center and clients or potential clients in need of recovery services.
- Communicate Turning Point Recovery Center’s general programs, including inpatient detox, outpatient detox, intensive outpatient programming, sober living, and aftercare.
- Provide leadership and guidance throughout a client’s treatment, including during the detox process, and encourage clients to attend recovery meetings, make healthy recovery contacts, and reach out when in need of help.
- Work closely with the clinical team to build and maintain a continuum of client care, adjusting levels of care as needed.
- Assist clients with paperwork for assessments and sober living admissions.
- Lead by example, upholding the standards and rules of the sober living house and fostering a positive, recovery-focused atmosphere.
- Maintain meticulous attention to detail in all aspects of client care, documentation, and facility management.
- Complete documentation in the company’s EHR and communicate regularly with supervisors on any issues that arise with clients.
- Attend and actively participate in weekly clinical staff meetings.
- Meet with Clinical and Peer Supervisors regularly as scheduled.
- Assist with UDS collections.
- Facilitate peer-led support groups as needed.
- Be available to address urgent matters and provide on-call support 24/7.
- Other leadership and peer-related duties as assigned.
- Certified Peer Support Worker certificate.
- CPR Certification.
- Minimum of two years of recovery-related experience.
- Minimum of two years of sobriety.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and support a team.
- Strong ability to create and maintain structure within the sober living environment.
- High level of charisma, punctuality, reliability, and integrity.
- High level of emotional and social intelligence.
- Interest in the treatment of chemical dependency.
- Ability to cater to clients' individual needs while maintaining consistency in rules and standards.
- Attention to detail in all tasks and responsibilities.
- Flexible schedule with the willingness to attend to urgent matters and be on call 24/7.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite; Microsoft Word; Microsoft Excel, and internet software and EMR.
- Use/storage/maintenance of multiple usernames and passwords.
- Experience with Chrome (electronic file-handling).
- A record of satisfactory performance in all prior and current employment as evidenced by positive employment references from previous and current employers.
