What you will do as an Associate Data Scientist:
- Support the innovative development, and implementation of advanced analytic solutions across all functional areas of the business. These could include predictive modeling, forecasting, data visualization, simulation modeling, digital analytics, business intelligence, and data warehousing solutions.
- Support opportunities across departments for the Strategic Analytics and Revenue Optimization team to engage with other leaders and add value by providing training, education, and tools that support the application of data-driven business insights gleaned from their disciplines.
- Execute organizational norms, vehicles, and practices for delivering data-driven analytical insights—particularly those gleaned from Strategic Analytics and Revenue Optimization functions—to support strategic decisions, plans, and objectives.
- Support the development of a vision and strategy for advanced analytics and revenue strategy at ONE.
- Produce effective and insightful results on assigned objectives and remains challenged to accurately identify, document, and communicate emerging business insights to support the enterprises and their departments.
- Support business teams in understanding and applying strategic and predictive analyses.
- Monitor, report and manage proper metrics (key performance indicators, Index Scorecards, etc.).
- Develop and utilize advanced analytical models to measure a guest/customer’s total worth to the organization, and identify elasticity and yield opportunities.
- Work with IT and Innovation teams to design, and deploy/enhance the required data and technology infrastructure to support advanced and predictive analysis objectives.
To be successful as an Associate Data Scientist, you'll need:
- MS, PhD, MBA, or other advanced degree in data science, statistics, analytics, or related fields.
- A minimum of 3 years of data science, strategic analytics, or business intelligence role in an operationally diverse organization is required. Experience in gaming, hospitality, and/or entertainment industries is preferred. Loyalty program, CRM, digital analytics, revenue optimization, and customer valuation experience are also preferred.
- Ability to support transformational change within a large organization resulting from data science or optimization projects. Examples include: developing a new or redesigning an existing loyalty program, implementing a new enterprise-wide database and BI platforms, enterprise guest valuation and segmentation deployments, and new analytically driven guest interfaces.
- Strong communication skills are required, with the ability to bring technical data and reports to life and to translate and distill analysis and trends into actionable information.
- Ability to collaborate with other business teams and individuals to ensure effective deployment of projects and communication of outcomes, particularly with individuals with varying levels of experience and exposure to strategic analytics and data science.
- Expert knowledge of advanced and predictive analytics, modeling, data management, and warehousing concepts is required.
- Ability to support the development of knowledge management frameworks including implementing tools for delivering and transferring knowledge and business insights.
- Demonstrated passion for market and industry research and commitment to innovation.
- Strong organizational, planning, and project management skills.
- Fluency in Slack, Teams, or other internal communications applications and familiarity with data warehouse, digital, analytics, CRM, and data visualization technology is required.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds and personalities; specific experience working with executives and other leaders across business functions.
- Flexibility for occasional airline travel.
