Summary of Responsibilities:
We are looking for a compassionate individual with a heart for non-profit work to perform a variety of administrative and clerical tasks in our Atlanta Sandy Springs/Roswell Clinic. Duties include providing support to our clinicians, leadership team, and employees/contractors while assisting in daily office needs. Responsibilities include scheduling & confirming patient appointments, verifying insurance and accepting payments, distributing laundry to treatment rooms, answering calls, confirming appointments, data entry, making meeting arrangements, preparing reports and maintaining appropriate filing systems. The ideal candidate should have excellent oral and written communication skills and be able to organize their work using tools, like MS Excel and office equipment. Please NOTE: This position is IN-PERSON we ask that you live within 10 miles of 8010 Roswell Rd, Atlanta, GA 30350 and have reliable transportation. Clinic hours are 7:30am-6:30pm
Responsibilities
Accountable for providing an excellent patient experience.
2. Responsible for scheduling patients, preparation of patient charts and appointment confirmation calls/texts. Scans and updates patient charts with required documentation (ID, insurance cards, other paperwork) as needed.
3. Responsible for insurance verification, collecting for patient copays, deductibles and supplies while accurately updating patient information in EMR system.
4. Updates daily reconciliation form for co-pays, outstanding balances, other information that might be required at the appointment
5. Ensures treatment rooms are clean, have clean laundry, and updates supplies as needed.
6. Works with the Oncology Rehabilitation Patient Navigator to ensure new patient charts are complete and appropriate documentation is uploaded in EMR.
7. May be required to schedule LYFT or other transportation for patients.
8. Prepares special office reports as needed, including monthly patient counts and other special requests.
9. Responsible for confirming the patient payment logs, credit card receipts and bank deposit slips for patient payments daily.
10. Makes bank deposits as needed.
11. Opens mail daily as requested
12. Coordinates conference room scheduling and audio-visual needs. Orders food for meetings as requested.
13. Maintains clinic and office supplies inventory. Informs appropriate parties when office supplies are to be ordered & what is needed.
10. Updates forms for daily use and maintains patient records.
11. Provides administrative support to the Executive Director. Clinical Director and Controller/IT Lead as needed.
12. Expected to attend/volunteer at health fairs, fundraisers and other events that provide educational information to community and support the mission of TurningPoint Breast Cancer Rehabilitation
13. Assists in special projects as needed.
14. Adheres to professional, ethical and legal standards of practice.
Qualifications
1. Knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, QuickBooks and EMR scheduling software.
2. Knowledge of general principles of medical office operations including scheduling, billing, insurance companies, patient collections.
3. Knowledge of HIPPA regulations.
4. Skill in effective oral and written communication, including group presentation.
5. Ability to prepare and maintain accurate records.
Training and Experience:
1. Minimum 2 yrs exp in a medical office. Preference given to prior oncology and/or rehabilitation office experience.
2. Demonstrate working knowledge of salesforce use
3. Proficient in the use of Microsoft office
4. Working knowledge of EMR usage and understanding.
