Position Title: Estimating Bid Coordinator - Asphalt Milling Operations

Role Summary:

As our Bid Coordinator / Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in handling bid management for incoming requests and pre-scheduled bid opportunities, with added responsibilities in client engagement and project tracking. This position is ideal for someone familiar with construction estimating who brings strong organizational skills, precision, and a proactive approach to pipeline management and bid development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Estimate Development: Build and assemble bid proposals for incoming quote requests and scheduled FDOT projects, leveraging existing rates and collaborating directly with the VP of Operations on bid strategy and final reviews.
• Project Identification & Tracking: Identify target projects, set up project information, and continuously track projects through advertisements, bid services, and customer requests.
• Pipeline & Calendar Management: Oversee the full pipeline of quote requests and maintain the bid calendar, particularly for FDOT projects, ensuring all submissions are accurate and timely.
• Proposal Preparation: Complete plan take-offs and prepare detailed proposals or quotes aligned with company standards.
• Client Communication & Follow-Up: Engage in proactive communication with clients to follow up on proposed bids, update project status in the backlog, track trends, and assist in relationship management both pre- and post-bid.
• Contract Administration: Support contract reviews to align proposals with client requirements and minimize risk. Ensure existence and adherence to contract terms.
• Software Utilization: Use Bid 2 Win (B2W) estimating software to efficiently manage and execute estimation tasks. Familiarity with this software is preferred.

Required Skills:

·        Strong organizational skills and ability to manage bid pipelines, schedules, and project tracking.

• Effective communication skills for maintaining client relationships and coordinating with internal stakeholders.
• Strong math skills with the ability to analyze data, interpret project specifications, and accurately calculate material, labor, and cost estimates for construction bids.

Preferred Skills:

• Prior experience in construction or road construction, specifically within the civil construction world.
• Foundational knowledge of construction estimating, with hands-on experience in project tracking and client proposal preparation
• Proficiency with Build 2 Win (B2W) estimating software is a major advantage.
