Position Overview
The Senior Director, Data Center Solutions will be responsible for developing and executing Turtle & Hughes' data center strategy, driving demand with data center owners, developers, and contractors, and ensuring our branches are operationally prepared to support these projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Market Development & Demand Generation: Establish and nurture relationships with data center owners, developers, general contractors, and electrical contractors to position Turtle & Hughes as a trusted partner in the industry.
- Strategic Sales Leadership: Work closely with internal sales teams and leadership to develop targeted strategies that drive revenue growth in the data center sector.
- Branch Readiness: Collaborate with regional and branch leadership to ensure operational preparedness, including inventory planning, process optimization, and training initiatives tailored to data center projects.
- Vendor & Supplier Strategy: Develop and manage key vendor relationships to ensure product availability, pricing competitiveness, and alignment with data center project needs.
- Industry Expertise & Thought Leadership: Stay ahead of trends, technologies, and best practices in the data center market to position Turtle & Hughes as an industry leader. Represent the company at key industry events, conferences, and trade shows.
- Collaboration & Cross-Functional Leadership: Partner with marketing, operations, and sales teams to drive cohesive go-to-market strategies and ensure customer satisfaction.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years in the electrical distribution, data center, or related industries, with at least 5 years in a leadership or business development role.
- Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of data center infrastructure, power distribution, and electrical solutions. Strong network within the data center market.
- Sales & Business Development: Proven track record of driving revenue growth through strategic partnerships and market expansion.
- Leadership & Communication: Strong leadership, negotiation, and communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Travel: Ability to travel nationally as needed to support business development and branch readiness initiatives.
