Job Summary:
Assist the Lead Teacher by providing academic, social, or life skills to students. Serve in a position of support for which the Lead Teacher has primary responsibility for the design and implementation of educational programs and services.
Education and Experience:
- Degree: High School Diploma or Equivalent
Primary Job Duties:
- Assist the Lead Teacher with daily classroom activities and tasks.
- Responsible for gathering necessary supplies, including paper towels, soap, gloves, and craft materials. Ensuring all items are properly stored and maintained.
- Maintain the classroom schedule and follow all licensing rules and regulations.
- Complete assigned common area tasks weekly, including sanitizing toys and activity materials every 30 days.
- Ensure the proper care of students with allergies, including administering their medication, as needed and document all information.
- Maintain an organized classroom to prevent the loss of students’ belongings.
- Be prepared to step in and assume the responsibilities of the Lead Teacher when necessary.
