We are currently seeking a:
Fence/Barrier Security Construction Foreman:
The Foreman will oversee daily operations of a work crew at assigned worksite under leadership of Site Superintendent or Project Manager to ensure the completion of assigned tasks or projects in a safe and efficient manner. The Foreman will also serve as the point of contact between the construction workers and superintendents.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure each assigned crew follows all safety standards.
- Lead assigned crew of construction workers and trade professionals to perform specific tasks
- Where applicable, directs and oversees junior or subordinate staff members regarding construction, operations, and/or maintenance tasks and assignments at a project site.
- Report project progress to superiors
- Implement and coordinate daily tasks according to priorities and plans, making changes when necessary due to weather, supply, delivery, and personnel
- Serve as liaison between assigned crew and superintendent
- Solve disputes between workers
- Delegate individual responsibilities and projects to assigned crew members and contractors
- Monitor need, use, and expenses for crew supplies or tools to complete assigned tasks.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- At least 3 years of related experience required.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Thorough understanding of fence installation processes including, assembly, framing, bracing, hardware, gates, ornamental panels, stretching and bias cuts for fencing on slopes
- Understanding of the characteristics of concrete.
- Understanding of materials and tools related to cement.
- Experience with pouring, placing and finishing concrete and foundation materials.
- Minimum of one year of experience installing perimeter security and fencing components.
- Ability to organize a work schedule
- Ability to solve disputes between workers
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to negotiate
- Deep knowledge of the construction industry and processes
- Ability to read construction drawings and blueprints, preferred
- Ability to perform quality checks on construction equipment
- Must have physical strength, balance, hand-eye coordination, and stamina necessary to complete jobs in various areas.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 100 lbs.
- Must be able to work in all weather conditions.
- Must be able to stand, and walk up to ten hours per day, stoop, bend, kneel and squat for prolonged periods and climb multiple sets of stairs while carrying materials weighing up to 100 lbs.
- Travel is required.
