United Trades of America is a trusted labor contractor in the construction and skilled trades industry. We are currently seeking an experienced Landscaping Foreman to lead and manage landscaping projects in the Huntsville, AL area.
Position Summary:
We are looking for a strong leader with deep knowledge and hands-on experience in landscaping and plant care. The Landscaping Foreman will oversee a crew responsible for maintaining and enhancing outdoor spaces, including lawns, gardens, irrigation systems, and trees. This role requires someone who understands both the science and the art behind landscaping and who can effectively delegate tasks, give clear direction, and ensure work is completed efficiently and to the highest standard.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage a team of landscaping workers on site
- Maintain and enhance outdoor environments including lawns, trees, irrigation systems, snow plowing, and gardens
- Mow, trim, edge, and remove weeds from lawns and garden beds
- Plant, mulch, aerate, and seed as needed for landscape projects
- Maintain irrigation systems, identifying and fixing issues as needed
- Operate and maintain lawn care equipment and ensure tools are used properly
- Remove debris and maintain clean, organized job sites
- Delegate tasks to the crew and ensure work is being done correctly and efficiently
- Communicate clearly with team members and clients as needed
- Use deep knowledge of plant life and landscape science to guide decisions and care practices
Qualifications:
- Extensive knowledge of landscaping, horticulture, and nursery/plant life
- Proven leadership experience in the landscaping field
- Must have hands-on experience with all aspects of landscaping, including irrigation systems
- Ability to manage and motivate a team
- Strong communication skills and excellent work ethic
- Must be able to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred
- Reliable transportation to and from job sites
