Tusculum University (NCAA Division II) is seeking qualified candidates for an assistant athletic trainer position. This is a full-time position with benefits. Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, assisting the head athletic trainer with all aspects of the athletic training program and performing other duties as assigned by the head athletic trainer and/or athletic director. The successful candidate will serve as an athletic training services provider for one or more NCAA Division II athletic teams (Football and Men’s/Women’s Golf).
Team travel, in addition to night, weekend, and holiday work, will be required. The successful candidate will also serve as a preceptor/clinical instructor as appropriate to allow students to have clinical experience. The candidate should possess effective time management skills, the ability to handle confidential information, and effective oral and written communication skills as well as the ability to serve as a professional role model for athletic training students.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s Degree is preferred
- Qualified applicants will have a NATABOC certification
- Tennessee Athletic Training licensure (or eligible).
