Description of the role
As a Tutor of High School Spanish at Tutor Doctor - North County San Diego, you will be responsible for providing 1:1, in-home, personalized and effective Spanish tutoring to high school students in N. County, San Diego. This role offers a flexible schedule and the opportunity to make a positive impact on students' learning and academic achievement.
Responsibilities
- Create customized lesson plans tailored to individual student's needs and goals
- Deliver engaging and interactive tutoring sessions
- Assess students' progress and provide feedback
- Help students improve their Spanish language skills, including speaking, listening, reading, and writing
- Provide additional resources and materials to support students' learning
- Coordinate with student's teacher to ensure prioritization of homework due dates, quizzes and test dates
Requirements
- Fluency in Spanish
- Prior tutoring or teaching experience preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet student's individual needs
- Patience and enthusiasm for working with high school students
