Description of the role :
The Tutor position at Tutor Doctor - North County San Diego is a rewarding opportunity to help high school students excel in Biology. As a Tutor, you will have the chance to work one-on-one in-home with students, providing personalized instruction and support to help them develop a strong understanding of Biology concepts.
Responsibilities :
- Provide personalized one-on-one tutoring sessions for high school students in Biology
- Use the homework, quizzes and tests they provide to build a plan to help them stay at grade level and improve their grades
- Assess student progress and provide regular feedback to both students and parents
- Adapt teaching methods to meet the individual needs and learning styles of each student
- Write session reports for parents after each session
- Help with executive functioning skills such as study skills, time management and prioritization.
