Reporting to the CEO and Director of Conversion Services, the Sales Manager will champion new and existing clients across North America while leading revenue-generating sales strategy. Day-to-Day as Sales Manager :
- Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy that aligns with corporate goals and advances overall business objectives.
- Lead the sales process from prospecting to closing deals.
- Drive lead generation efforts and new business opportunities; identify and target decision-makers within the commercial and government sectors.
- Conduct on-the-ground prospecting efforts, visiting potential clients to establish initial contact and build new business relationships.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients.
- Own the proposal development and response process, including detailed requirements, content creation, and input from internal stakeholders.
- Track sales activities, customer interactions, and results while providing regular performance reports in CRM.
- Leverage regional sales forecasting and analysis data to inform industry trends, competitors, and market conditions.
- Continuously expand and share professional knowledge through educational, networking, and trade events.
- Proven experience in a demanding sales role with a track record of executing winning sales strategies and exceeding sales targets.
- Previous experience with document management solutions or related industries and an existing book of business are a significant plus!
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field preferred.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, spanning face-to-face visits, phone and virtual meetings, email exchanges, and all other forms of business interaction.
- Negotiation skills with the natural ability to connect and deliver effective sales presentations.
- Strong time management and organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Tech-savvy proficiency with the full MS Office Suite, CRM software, and other sales tools.
- A proactive, results-driven approach, capable of working in a fast-paced environment as part of a team or independently.
- Willingness to travel as needed to meet clients and attend industry events.
