Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Audio Visual Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in audio-visual technology, including installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of AV systems. This role requires a blend of technical expertise and customer service skills to ensure seamless operation of audio-visual equipment for various events and installations.
Duties
- Install, configure, and maintain audio-visual equipment including projectors, sound systems, and video conferencing tools.
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on AV systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to audio-visual equipment in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their AV needs and provide tailored solutions.
- Manage cabling and wiring for installations while adhering to safety standards.
- Utilize hand tools and low voltage equipment for installation and repairs.
- Conduct field service visits to client locations for setup, support, and training on AV systems.
- Maintain accurate records of service calls, repairs, and installations.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in using hand tools and low voltage equipment is essential.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot software and hardware issues.
- Experience with cabling techniques and telecommunication systems is preferred.
- Familiarity with voltmeter usage for electrical testing is an advantage.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in fast-paced environments.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members.
- A background in computer hardware support is beneficial but not mandatory.
