Residential Painter

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various painting techniques and a strong attention to detail. This role involves preparing surfaces, applying paint, and ensuring high-quality finishes on a range of projects, including residential and commercial properties. The Painter will work closely with other tradespeople and must be able to interpret schematics and plans effectively.

Duties

• Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and applying primers as needed.
• Apply paint using various techniques including airless paint spraying and brush/roller methods.
• Ensure all work meets quality standards and adheres to project specifications.
• Collaborate with carpenters and other trades for fixture installation and masonry work as required.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition to ensure efficiency and safety.
• Follow safety protocols while working on construction sites and when handling materials.
• Read and interpret schematics to understand project requirements and timelines.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Painter with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
• Ability to perform basic carpentry tasks related to painting projects.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
• Ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods during the workday.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $12.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• No weekends

Experience:

• Residential painting: 2 years (Preferred)

Language:

• Spanish (Preferred)
