The Kindergarten Teacher plays a pivotal role in shaping young learners by creating a nurturing, stimulating, and developmentally appropriate environment. This educator will design and deliver a dynamic, well-rounded curriculum that aligns with TVT’s mission of fostering inquiry, innovation, and character development alongside academic excellence.

Key responsibilities include cultivating the social, emotional, physical, and cognitive growth of each student through engaging, hands-on activities and interdisciplinary approaches. The teacher will employ age-appropriate strategies to teach foundational skills in literacy, mathematics, and problem-solving while promoting curiosity and critical thinking.

By observing and assessing individual progress, the Kindergarten Teacher will tailor instruction to meet the diverse needs and developmental milestones of students. Building meaningful relationships with students is essential to create a classroom environment where every child feels safe, valued, and motivated to learn.

Collaboration with colleagues, administrators, and families is integral to supporting the holistic development of each child and ensuring clear communication about classroom activities and student progress. Additionally, the teacher will actively engage in professional development opportunities to stay informed about best practices in early childhood education, fostering continuous growth and lifelong learning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in early education.
• Contribute to enrollment initiatives by actively engaging with prospective families and supporting school events.
• Participate in school-wide activities, committees, and other duties as assigned to support the school community.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education or a related field (required).
• Minimum of 3-5 years of lead teaching experience, preferably in  primary grades..
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for fostering relationships with students, families, and colleagues.
• Proficiency in integrating technology into the classroom, leveraging digital tools for communication, assessment, and curriculum delivery to enhance learning experiences.

The hiring range for the Kindergarten teacher role at TVT is between $68,000 and $90,000. TVT uses a Banding structure to determine salary. This placement is discussed and determined during the interview process to ensure that compensation reflects the candidate’s experience and qualifications.
