What are the responsibilities and job description for the VP of Finance position at TWG Talent Solutions?
We have an opening for an accounting professional ready to take on their next role with a top manufacturer. The VP of Finance is responsible for all major financial accounting areas, including all phases of accounts receivable, general ledger and account reconciliations. This daily posting and classification of all expenditures, discrepancy resolution; recording of payroll and related items and other JE’s; providing back-up for others in the accounting department; complying with required governmental regulations and forms; assisting with the annual company audit; and generating management reports detailing costs and expenses as necessary.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Control all financial transactions as they relate to general accounting, accounts receivable, credit, payroll and accounts payable, and debt.
Supervise the monthly close process and preparation of the financial statements including commentary and financial analysis.
Administer the Company’s 401K and Profit-Sharing plans.
Comply with outside reporting requirements, including, but not limited to sales tax returns, 1099’s, 5500’s, SAM registration, and other regulatory matters.
Provide financial analyses as needed, in particular for capital investments, pricing decisions and contract negotiations.
Master the existing ERP system and generate reports for review with the CEO. Work with IT to troubleshoot and improve the existing ERP system.
Supervise and development of staff in the finance department.
Coordinate with external auditors and tax preparers during annual audit and state and federal tax return preparation.
Maintain 13 week rolling Cash flow analysis.
Monitor and maintain banking and financing relationships.
Prepare Annual Budgets.
Develop incentive plans.
Establish credit lines for customers.
Work closely with all disciplines and constituents.
Update and implement policies and standard operating procedures.
Ensure appropriate level of internal controls.
Maintain books and records for an affiliated company.
Other assignments from CEO as they may occur.
QUALIFICATIONS:
BS / MS Accounting, Finance or Business Administration required.
Positivity and action driven upbeat attitude required.
Prior Controllership in a manufacturing environment.
Demonstrated ability to work productively with individuals at all levels inside and outside the organization.
Demonstrated proficiency with customary PC office applications such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint required.
Experience with an integrated Enterprise Resource Planning system or the equivalent
required.
Flexibility and willingness to work on a variety of roles and assignments.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $130,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
