This role involves regular customer visits, collaboration with distributors, and engagement with design engineers, purchasing managers, and technical stakeholders to expand market share in a niche, high-growth industry. The ideal candidate has an engineering background or technical sales experience, strong relationship-building skills, and a willingness to travel. Account Manager (technical sales in electronic equipment/components req.) Responsibilities
• Develop and execute sales plans for designated accounts
• Manage core customer relationships and oversee distributor partnerships
• Conduct quarterly business reviews to track sales performance
• Provide accurate monthly sales forecasts and reports
• Lead product training sessions for customers and distributors
• Negotiate pricing and contracts to maintain profitability
• Work closely with Japan-based teams on technical and business matters
• Ensure customer satisfaction through proactive issue resolution
Account Manager (technical sales in electronic equipment/components req.) Qualifications
• 2-15 years of technical sales experience required
• Fiber optics, electronic equipment/components, or semiconductors experience required
• Strong technical aptitude with the ability to discuss engineering concepts required
• Willingness to regularly travel to CA, TX and Mexico (~1 week/month) required
• Computer proficiency in MS Office (Excel & Word) required
• Valid driver’s license and valid passport required
