Director of Finance Description
Our client, a global manufacturing company, is seeking a Director of Finance to join their team (approx. 40 employees) just north of Hartford, Connecticut. This role requires a strong financial leader who can navigate both US GAAP and IFRS reporting while ensuring compliance with multi-state tax regulations. Reporting directly to the General Manager, you’ll oversee accounting, financial planning, and cash flow management, while also ensuring basic HR compliance. Success in this role means translating financial data into actionable business intelligence, collaborating with leadership and balancing high-level strategy with hands-on execution. Director of Finance Responsibilities
• Lead and manage the accounting department (2)
• Analyze the company’s financial performance
• Identify risks and drive strategic decisions
• Optimize cash management and net working capital
• Collaborate with the management team on financial standings
• Oversee all financial audits
• Develop and enforce HR policies
• Ensure adherence to GAPP and IFRS standards
• Optimize internal controls and risk management
Director of Finance Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree required
• 7 years of full-cycle accounting experience required
• Strong cost accounting knowledge required
• GAAP/IFRS multinational company experience required
• Must be willing to work onsite
