1st Year OTE: $80,000-$95,000; 2nd Year OTE: $110,000
Base Salary: $70,000-$80,000 Commission

Outside Sales Representative (business development exp. req.) Description
Our client, a building materials distributor, is searching for a proactive and self-motivated Outside Sales Representative to join their Team in Chicago, IL. Their company is growing, and they are looking to add another sales team member to help in maintaining current relationships while ultimately increasing their account base. Their General Manager is looking to focus more on the daily operations and transition some of his active accounts to a new OSR. When you are not traveling to meet clients, you’ll work from their office located near Wrigleyville. You’ll prospect to Contractors in the Chicagoland area to support their commercial projects with their interior building materials (drywall to metal framing). From high rises to standalone locations, our client does it all, so you’ll have exposure to both quick projects (a few weeks) to those that require more nurturing over the course of a year. To be chosen for this role, you must have two years of outside B2B sales experience with a proven track record of bringing on new business. Given you likely will not have their industry experience, you will be mentored by their General Manager who is looking to pass on his knowledge and support the next generation of sales professionals within the company. Outside Sales Representative (business development exp. req.) Responsibilities
• Search for new sales opportunities
• Maintain a robust pipeline through cold calling and onsite meetings
• Support customers in finding solutions that meet their needs
• Build rapport with new clients and nurture existing accounts
• Respond to inquiries and ensure accurate pricing and delivery information
• Request feedback from customers regarding products and services
• Organize delivery requests to ensure prompt and satisfactory service
• Stay abreast of market trends and competitors
• Identify new business opportunities and experiment with prospecting approaches
• Address and resolve any customer service issues that may arise
