Twin Cities Orthopedics is seeking an experienced Licensed Athletic Trainer to join our team as an Athletic Training Services Specialist. This role involves providing athletic training services to student athletes at a Northern Minnesota area High Schools, functioning as a member of our Outreach Program, and working in clinic settings.
Key responsibilities include serving as a Licensed Athletic Trainer in a clinic setting (Orthopedic Physician Office or Physical Therapy setting) and at High School, responsible for the assessment, treatment, prevention, and rehabilitation of acute, chronic, and emergency injuries and illnesses. You will also refer student-athletes to physician and/or specialists as needed, document injury management, communicate effectively with doctors, coaches, parents, and athletes, and provide community education.
We require a Bachelor's Degree, NATABOC certification, licensure in the State of Minnesota as Athletic Trainer or eligibility for licensure, and current CPR certification. 1-2 years of experience as a high school Athletic Trainer is preferred.
