What are the responsibilities and job description for the Certified/Licensed High School Athletic Trainer - Twin Cities Orthopedics position at Twin Cities Orthopedics?
Provide athletic training services to student athletes at a Northern Minnesota area High Schools (Pillager High School & Lakewood Hospital), function as a member of the Twin Cities Orthopedics Outreach Program, and work in clinic (either Physical Therapy setting or Physician Orthopedic Clinic).
This is a full-time role that will require some evenings and weekends and will support our Staples location.
Twin Cities Orthopedics is an operating division of Infinite Health Collaborative (i-Health), a group of local medical practices, owned and led by its physicians, on a mission to give patients more control over their healthcare.
Essential Functions:

Serve as Licensed Athletic Trainer in a clinic setting (Orthopedic Physician Office or Physical Therapy setting) and at High School
- Responsible for the assessment, treatment, prevention, and rehabilitation of acute, chronic, and emergency injuries and illnesses
- Refer student-athletes to physician and/or specialists as needed
- Documentation of injury management
- Effective communication with doctors, coaches, parents and athletes
- Provide and assist in community education
- Occasionally participate in community functions relating to TCO outreach events throughout the year
- Any and all other duties as assigned
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- NATABOC certification
- Licensed in the State of Minnesota as Athletic Trainer or eligible for licensure.
- Current CPR certification required
- 1-2 years of experience as a high school Athletic Trainer preferred

- Travel independently throughout the workplace (which may include movement from floor to floor); frequent bending, lifting, stooping or sitting for long periods of time may be required

- Prioritize workload while being flexible to meet the expectations of the daily operations

- Work independently with minimal supervision
- Travel to other work locations, if required
