Position Summary:
The Patient Access Specialist purpose is to interview patients or family members to obtain accurate demographic and financial information, explain consents, distribute patient education hand-outs and explain their contents, obtain consent and responsibility signatures and answer any questions the patient or family member may have.
Training and Continued Education

Minimum Education
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent required.
- Associates degree in Administrative Support Technology, Business or Office Technology preferred.
- Medical terminology experience recommended.
- Proficient in use of software programs.
- Excellent customer service and telephone skills a must.
