To perform the clerical duties necessary for participation of claiming Medicaid reimbursements for related services in the school district.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Secretary / Clerical experience preferably in a school district.
  • Knowledge of modern office practices, telephone etiquette, ability to work efficiently and harmoniously with supervisors and office staff.
  • Ability to work independently, handle confidential information and proficiency in spelling, grammar and accurate data entry.
  • Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable

Desired

  • Certificate from two year college.
  • Three years of experience as a secretary preferably in a school district.
  • ESSENTIAL DUTIES includes the following or other duties as assigned by the Superintendent, Board, or designee :

  • Knowledge and understanding of IEP dates and required documentation.
  • Enter and maintain required Medicaid documentation accurately onto spreadsheet.
  • Copying and filing required documentation in Medicaid files.
  • Check Medicaid Service Detail Reports / Assessment reports monthly for accuracy and prepare them for billing.
  • Typing and computer skills, entering required data accurately.
  • Assist in maintaining Medicaid files for audit compliance.
  • Knowledge of Excel and other software programs.
  • Knowledge of office equipment.
  • Telephone etiquette skills.
  • Keep all student information in strict confidentiality.
  • Assist Medicaid Coordinator so that accurate billing can be done.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Persons performing service in this position classification will exert 10 to 35 pounds of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
  • This type of work involves sitting most of the time, but will involve walking or standing for extended periods.
  • Perceiving the nature of sound, near and far vision, depth perception, providing oral information, the manual dexterity to operate business related equipment, and handle and work with various materials and objects are important job aspects.
  • EVALUATION

    Performance of this position will be evaluated annually in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on Evaluation of

    Classified Personnel.

    This is an "at will" position in that the employer or employee may terminate employment at any time for any reason consistent with applicable state or federal law. The employment "at will" policy cannot be changed verbally or in writing, unless the change is specifically authorized in writing and approved by the Board of Trustees of District 411.

    Starting Salary : $17.56 per hour, depending on experience

    Work calendar : 216 days
