Position Overview:
We are seeking a Golf Course Equipment Shop Manager to oversee the maintenance and repair of all golf course equipment. This role is crucial in ensuring that our machinery operates at peak efficiency, supporting the daily operations of our high-level golf course maintenance team.
The ideal candidate is self-motivated, detail-oriented, and a team player with a strong work ethic. Prior experience working on golf course equipment is a plus but not required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all equipment maintenance and small engine repairs (mowers, golf carts, sprayers, tractors, etc.).
- Conduct routine service (oil changes, blade sharpening, small engine repairs).
- Manage the shop budget and maintain inventory of parts and supplies.
- Keep detailed service records for all equipment.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workshop environment.
- Work closely with the Golf Course Superintendent to ensure equipment readiness.
- Train staff on proper equipment use and safety procedures.
Requirements:
- Experience as a mechanic (small engine repair preferred).
- Valid driver’s license.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to expand mechanical knowledge through continued education.
