Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Technician for our client in Springfield, Ohio. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in industrial maintenance and be proficient in using various tools and equipment. This role is essential for ensuring the smooth operation of our facility by performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and implementing repairs as needed. This is a first shift role working 4 x 10 hour days per week.
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment and systems to identify potential issues.
- Perform preventive maintenance on machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems using tools such as voltmeters and ohmmeters.
- Repair or replace defective parts, including high voltage components, as necessary.
- Utilize logic controllers for monitoring and controlling machinery operations.
- Execute stick welding tasks for structural repairs or modifications.
- Analyze equipment performance data to recommend improvements or upgrades.
- Collaborate with technical sales teams to provide insights on equipment functionality and maintenance needs.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs performed.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an industrial mechanic or in a similar maintenance role.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools such as voltmeters and ohmmeters.
- Strong understanding of high voltage systems and safety protocols.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents in English.
- Strong Hydraulic/pneumatic experience.
- Experience with stick welding techniques is preferred.
- Knowledge of logic controllers.
- Strong analytical skills to assess equipment performance effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
