What are the responsibilities and job description for the Summer Day Camp Counselors position at Twin Spring Farm Day Camp?
Twin Spring Farm Day Camp, 1632 East Butler Pike, Ambler, PA 19002
Accepting applications for full time summer positions as Senior Group, Specialist Counselors and Lifeguards. Free camp tuition for dependent children of employee.
Senior Counselors will be responsible, along with their Junior counselor, for the daily supervision, care, social development and general well being of a small group of age specific campers 3 to 13. Counselor must have experience working with a group of children and are also expected to assist specialist counselors during their activities.
Specialist Counselors are responsible to lead and direct activities in Archery, Arts and Crafts, Sports, Swimming, Dance, Rock Climbing and High Ropes Courses. Applicants must have a strong background and experience, including any appropriate certifications when required. Sports Staff need experience teaching sports to children, Ropes Staff must be experienced in rock climbing, climbing equipment, all safety and belay techniques.
Lifeguards and swimming staff need strong swimming skills. Experience as a lifeguard is preferred and all applicants must hold current lifeguard certification at the start of the camp season. Red Cross Lifeguard Certification course provided by employer.
The Camp season is June 18th through August 8th, Monday to Friday, 8:30 am - 4:30 pm, plus required orientation and closing meetings.
Salaries paid bi-weekly and aligned with education and experience levels.
