Position Title: Part-Time Baker (Early Morning Shift)
Qualifications: Experience in pastry and culinary arts.
Reports To: Executive Chef of Education, Executive Chef of Business
Job Goal: To ensure that Two & Company provides healthy, delicious pastry for its’ customers, catering opportunities, and events.
Daily Responsibilities:
Work under the direction of the Executive Chef Team to execute daily pastry needs for bakery case, coolers, dietary friendly offerings, and kitchen use.
This includes:
- Weigh ingredients to prepare dough.
- Mix and prepare dough.
- Shape and bake products.
- Decorate baked goods with icings, glazes, and edible toppings.
- Monitor proving, cooking, and cooling times.
- Ensure baked goods look consistent.
- Develop new products for menus.
- Run baking machinery like ovens and mixing machines.
· Ensure quality and consistency in all that is produced in the pastry department.
· Embody cheerfulness, kindness, and respect, for clients, team members, and customers.
· Stay positive during challenges, being an integral part of a strong team.
Team Responsibilities:
· Help coordinate and execute pastry catering offerings for special events and custom orders.
· Collaborate with the Executive Chef on new ideas maintaining an awareness of trends and innovative ideas, creating seasonal menus and specials aligned with Two’s philosophy of healthy whole foods.
· Assist Executive Chef in ensuring inventory systems, cleaning procedures, and maintenance protocols are completed in a timely and accurate manner.
· Assist Executive Chef in the beautiful merchandising of all pastry related products, consistent with Two’s branding, ingredient labels, pricing, and dates.
