Overview
We are looking for compassionate caregivers to provide one-on-one care to clients throughout Ventura County. In this role, you’ll assist with daily activities such as dressing, bathing, feeding, and mobility, while ensuring clients feel safe and cared for in their own homes. Additional responsibilities include meal preparation, running errands, and offering companionship.
You will have the flexibility to choose your schedule and preferred location, with shifts ranging from 4 to 13 hours. Paid time off is available after accumulating working hours. Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care tasks including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Provide companionship and engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental well-being.
- Monitor and document patient observations, reporting any changes in condition to healthcare professionals.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties.
- Support clients with mobility assistance and transportation as needed.
- Uphold resident rights by treating all clients with respect and dignity at all times.
Skills
- Experience in long-term care settings is preferred.
- Knowledge of dementia care practices and memory care techniques is highly valued.
- Ability to maintain a clean environment conducive to client health and safety.
- Understanding of resident rights and the importance of client confidentiality.
- Certification in CPR is a plus; nursing experience is beneficial but not required.
