Job Summary:
A Robotic Weld Specialist is critical in developing, implementing, maintaining, and improving robotic welding systems used in the fabrication of heavy-duty material handling equipment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of robot programming and manual welding.
Duties/Responsibilities:
· Configure and program robotic welders in the production of material handling equipment.
· Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize robotic work cells.
· Perform routine maintenance and calibration of robotics and automation equipment.
· Maintain documentation of robotic processes, changes, and updates.
· Recommend and implement continuous improvement initiatives using lean manufacturing principles.
· Ensure all robotic systems comply with safety regulations and company standards.
· Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
· Positive, team-oriented attitude.
· Proficient in programming and operating robotic systems, preferably FANUC.
- Experience with manual wire-feed welding.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and mechanical blueprints.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive, solution-driven mindset.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across departments.
- Familiarity with safety standards and compliance, including OSHA and ANSI/RIA guidelines.
· Attention to detail.
· Works well with others.
Education and Experience:
· Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, Industrial Automation, or related field preferred.
· 3 years of experience working with industrial robotics in a manufacturing environment, preferably with heavy machinery or material handling equipment.
· Prior experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
Physical Requirements:
· Prolonged periods standing.
· Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at a time.
