Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and enthusiastic Host/Server to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring they feel welcomed and valued. Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and escort them to their tables.
- Manage reservations and waitlists efficiently to optimize seating arrangements.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately and relay them to the kitchen staff using Aloha POS or other POS systems.
- Ensure timely delivery of food and beverages to guests while maintaining high standards of presentation.
- Address guest inquiries and concerns promptly, demonstrating excellent guest relations skills.
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including resetting tables for incoming guests.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff and fellow servers to ensure smooth operation during busy shifts.
- Provide recommendations on menu items, specials, and beverages to enhance the guest experience.
Skills
- Strong phone etiquette when handling reservations or guest inquiries over the phone.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members.
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hotel setting is preferred but not required.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A solid understanding of customer service principles and practices in the food service industry.
- Familiarity with Aloha POS or similar point-of-sale systems is a plus but can be learned on the job.
- A positive attitude and willingness to help others create memorable dining experiences for our guests.
